Business Development Manager – Retail Food (US Markets)
Greater Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)
Do you have proven experience in business development in Food Service or traditional CPG channels? Do you enjoy to travel? Our client, a leading food distributor, is looking for a sharp, high-potential individual to join their team as a Business Development Manager. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in Sales and Business Development with a focus of growing a portfolio in the US. The ideal candidate will exhibit the capability to work independently and excel in establishing and maintaining positive business relations with customers, reflecting excellent interpersonal skills. This position will have the opportunity to explore and travel throughout the United States & Abroad.
The role involves possessing a deep understanding of global trade dynamics and cultural impacts, alongside developing and executing sales strategies to expand the company's North American presence. This includes conducting extensive market research to identify suitable markets, analyzing trends, and pursuing new business opportunities. Building strong client relationships through effective communication and delivering persuasive sales presentations is crucial. Collaboration with various departments ensures readiness for successful outcomes, while staying updated on industry trends and regulations informs strategic decision-making. Generating sales reports and engaging in negotiations to secure favorable terms further contribute to the company's success. This position comes with the flexibility of supporting a hybrid work schedule where a portion of your week can be spent working from a home office when not on the road. 15 weeks of the year will be spent traveling to clients & tradeshows both in the US and overseas.
**This is a Hybrid role, but successful applicants will have to reside in the Lower Mainland or Fraser Valley Markets**
